Biography
Migena Furxhi is a fourth-generation hairstylist whose artistry has been shaped by decades of mastery, international education, and an unwavering commitment to pushing the boundaries of what hair can be. Born into a lineage of beauty professionals, she inherited not just skill, but a philosophy — that hair is a living medium for artistic expression.
Her career has taken her across continents, training under some of the world's most celebrated masters and returning to share that knowledge with the next generation of artists. Her work has been featured in over 11 international publications, including Modern Salon, American Salon, Estetica, Beauty Launchpad, and Salon Today — a testament to the editorial caliber of her artistry.
In 2022, Migena achieved one of the industry's highest honors: NAHA's Best Avant-Garde Hairdresser in North America. The award recognized not just technical excellence, but a singular creative vision that has defined her work for years.
Beyond the salon chair, Migena is a passionate educator. She founded the Artecore Institute for Research and Artistic Advancement to create the educational experience she wished had existed when she was coming up — rigorous, inspiring, and built for artists who refuse to settle.
